Hello my friend. I'm Sarah, a Scottish lassie who moved to America fifteen years ago to marry my North Carolina man and raise two wild and wonderful boys.

I grew up an artist, in love with film photography and poetry and music. My philosophy of ‘following the breadcrumbs’ in life led me to where I am now as a wedding photographer in Boone, North Carolina. Here in the wild hills of Appalachia I explore deep old mysteries through music, through walking, and through photography. I am forever in pursuit of soulful creation with others, for that gives me life.

My approach is to be fully and wholly present - to you, your family and what matters most to you on your wedding day. In this way I receive the images that unfold - images of love, tenderness, kindness, reverence, and if we’re lucky, a glimpse of the wild and free soul on the dance floor! My lyrical artistic style draws from my obsession with folklore, the spiritual and natural world, music, poetry, film - and from you. Your journey together is what creates the real heirloom to pass on to the generations that follow on. I’m also a safe place for ALL kinds of love, and all kinds of people.
